under engine pan on xj8

can you operate the car without it,the engine pan? Is it necessary. Not the oil pan, the cover under the engine, the one the oil change people removed in order to change the oil.

You can, but I would not recommend it. It is called the under cover.

Can you operate xj8 without the bottom engine cover under the car,is it necessary. Qil change charge to remove it.

Mainly it is there for aerodynamics, but also helps keep the under engine clean and protects that area from road debris doing any damage.
