Any ideas for performance for a 98 XJ8? sound? i just dont want to spend $1000 dollars and have it do nothing.

 

For sound, just take off the rear mufflers and replace with pipes and tips. That's what I did on my 01 XJR and it's made a big difference.

Being an N/A, you may lose a bit of backpressure provided by the mufflers, though. I wouldn't suspect it would harm that much though, and the growl is great.

 

Hi i etsted my xjr whithout the rear mufflers when i changed them into MIna´s ones

And it was still quiet asa mouse

And a better exhaust will make differnce but not alot

 

Put some flowmaster 40 series on there - that thing will be real loud!

 

hahaha flowmaster huh, lol..i cant imagine a jag with flows, lol

 

i got rid of the rear mufflers and i does make a difference and can be heard with a nice growl...am gettin front one removed soon too to make it loud..prob just turn it into a straight through
