Default Vanden Plas wood type

Hello guys, just bought 99 vanden plas and I wanted to restore the picnic tables. My question is, does any one know what type of wood was used for the picnic tables?

I believe it is burl walnut, or as the Brits say, burr walnut. The little yellowish stripes in the door panels and dash are Peruvian boxwood inlay.

I always thought it was a hardened concoction of Gray Poupon and French's Mustard that was dried on the workbench of Major Geoffrey Boothroyd.

It does seem like a lot of trouble to go to just for those little stripes. When I first read that there were Peruvian boxwood inlays in the wood, I thought where the heck are they ? Then I realized that's what those little stripes are.
