VDP S/C front mount???
Hey everyone. I’ve recently purchased a 2001 VDP with the 4.0 supercharged engine. I am new to the jaguar scene, I’ve always had GM’s. I was wondering how hard it would be to do a front mount intercooler, or if anyone had ever done one. Couldn’t find any videos online. I know the basics on how to hook up an intercooler (custom mounting, and such..) but not positive about piping. Just looking for a little direction and seeing if anyone has done this before. Thank you!
Hi,
Welcome to the Jaguar forums!
I'm quite confused - you're aware that the S/C cars do have a separate coolant circuit for the charge air coolers? Though this circuit is connected to the main coolant circuit, it does have its own intercooler pump and radiator, which is mounted in front of the main radiator.
If you do a search for the x308's workshop manual and download it, you can browse to the "engine cooling" section and you'll find there general info and some pictures and illustrations. This way, you can get a great overview concerning our car's construction and techniques.
Cheers, Alexander
