Default Water pump and thermostate on 1999 xjr

hey guys after having the coolant spill out on me everywhere 3 hours from home i wanna start doing some preventative maintence. Since the water pump and thermostats seem to be a part to go on these cars i will start there. eurotoys sells the pump for $95 and thermostat for $39. is this a good price? also im pretty handy with engines but i dont wanna get in over my head. ive torn apart several engines and rebuilt some but they were always on engine stands outside the car haha so would this be something i could tackle or na?

Autozone.com offers the thermostat for $20 and the Water Pump for $89.95.

If you've done work on the stand, you should be fine with these repairs, although, you will probably knock a couple extra knuckles this way.

It's easy work, but I'd be a little reluctant about an Autozone thermostat. Mike at Eurotoys is a pro and a good guy.
