The SLCM comes in many numbers depending on region of the world

Some have had the wrong one installed from who knows where

Note your VIN #

I use the negative battery cable and I had to have a clamp with a hole large enough to handle that.
I leave the trunk open. The car will go to sleep if left alone. If not you can easily put something in the trunk latch to fool the car. Same thing with the hood. Jump the switch temporarily.

The meter I have has a lighted face and I can read it in the truck with no lights on. I also get ready by removing all the fuse box covers ahead of time so I won't bump or disturb anything while taking the measurements.

I found out about the voltage method long after I was pulling fuses and it was just so much quicker. With the number of fuses these cars have checking ALL the circuits is a big job!
