what cable???

anyone know which cable/software i need to connect the wife's 99 XJ8 to a laptop for fault code reading?

standard 'obd to usb' will link your car, look for ELM 327 the port is under the steering wheel towards the trans tunnel, if your laptop has bluetooth why not get the BT version and run an app called Torque, if you have a smartfone?
