Replaced the TPS in my car with one from ebay. Mine looked just as clean when it came out, but we'll keep my fingers crossed for not having to get the TB out to rebuild yet.

Annnd that was short-lived. I made it to work, and 3/4 of the way home after replacing it before it started acting up again. Since it's doing the same as mine was, and this was a known-working (according to seller) TPS, I can only assume now that the P1121 issue lays elsewhere. Time to go digging through posts again, and budget out some money out of my next check to mail it out, and find alternative transportation. Disappointed, to say the least.

Not"did". but "will do" ...

Came back from 4 weeks absence, and will see if the grand old lady has any life in her.
The island saw the worst rainfall in decades while I was out, with severe flooding, and many roads flushed away.
But it seems both apartments and underground parking have survived without a problem.

We are in the midst of 8 days of torrential rain here w/ a tropical storm forecast to skirt our region soon as well. It figures this happens as soon as my car's back from paint, as I want to spit shine everything & add my chrome skins lol.

Alas is life.

What did I do to mine today. Well last weekend I took a drive to Malibu and down the coast. Into downtown LA and back down PCH into Huntington Beach and Newport Beach. Then home. About 270 miles in all total. It was a beautiful day for a beautiful drive in a beautiful car.

Checked the tyre pressures before I take it on a little trip this weekend.
All were slightly down, and the lowest was 31, so pumped them back to 34psi and will check them again over the weekend.
The car doesn't get driven much, but I'm convinced I've still got at least one puncture/slow leak. Will get them fully checked over in a month or so after my Milan's turn up and the tyres get swapped onto them.

Last ditch effort in TB issues, tried cleaning every connection and then some with a hard reset. Annnnd that didn't do a damn thing, so while I arrange a replacement car to pull my TB off to send out, I decided to work on replacing my antenna.

In between the storm's deluge I manage to sprint out & get most of the car(missed the bumpers) w/ a quick detailer spray & put the green center caps on. Didn't get to shine the rims either due to impending rain.

I'm going to wait for the chrome door & mirror trim until we have stable weather. As I was taking the pic it starting misting , it's like 94 FH & the humidity is miserable.

Now it's time I boot the 'Rati, clean the realm of unfinished projects(garage) , & let her majesty have the garage lol.

Having a capable associate over this weekend to tackle my newly acquired annoyance known as the bank 1 knock sensor.

Basically finished the car...

Just need to now fill the optimised tranny, bleed the brakes, refill the AC, put proper antifreeze in (at the moment water to test), prime the engine, bleed the power steering and straighten the steering wheel (90° off center).

Rinsed off the tree sap which seems to accumulate instantly on my car... Took it around the street after washing and got a bad squealing from the pass side blower fan. Turned back to my driveway and saw water dripping out of the fan housing. Managed to get that cracked open to drain the rest out and that fixed the noise.

Naturally it started raining right as I went to try and pull the windshield drain cover, so I'll have to hope it was a fluke, or drains quickly enough that it won't leak from just rain. Stuck a pan under the fan just in case...

That's possible lol, all this new shiny paint has me wanting to paint the cowling under the wiper & windscreen now.

Edit :

I sold my major partner stock in a MMA gym this week so I'll have ample time to get into car things now lol.

Always been a Lexus,Jaguar,Infiniti type man, my youth's dream car was a Maserati, then low behold I get one & my heart breaks lol.

If I had to have a muscle car, it would be a early Corvette roadster or Plymouth Roadrunner.

Disclosure :
My MMA career was forged from growing up in the MA culture from birth & being taught to use it to help, not the stereographical "bad ***" type deal that the media/western world perpetuates.
