Thanks Vector, ill add this to my to do list, hopefully i will have time tonight to tackle some of these tasks, i will report back with whatever progress i have made

Clean Part Load Breather
Check Upper Tensioners
Coolant Flush
Adjust Boot lid

so ive got the drivers side valve cover off, the main chain has some slack, and i feel like its enough slack to jump a tooth, how do i tell if everything is aligned properly?

as i slowly turn the crank im hearing a click noise on the driver side bank, i have the cam cover off, but i dont know where this click is coming from, what should i do????

does anyone know what the thread pitch is to remove the crank damper i know its a M8x60mm

did nothing to my XJR, just let it rest all week long. My new designated daily driver is the 79 Alfa Romeo Spider. Twin side drafts, not smog legal but goes like the dickens. Will take the cat out this weekend as the wifey will not get near the Alfa...

My "D" got a new battery last Saturday because of traction control system messages at start-up on cold days.

question where does everyone who has ordered Tensioners, get there tensioners?

Safi, do a Ford Lincoln LS3.9 search on here, there's part numbers kicking around, 2/3rds the price of the Jag units but the same thing...shame the don't sell 'em in the UK...

I believe you should be able to order the tensioners and bolts through your local Ford dealer using the part numbers:

Tensioners:
2W9Z6K254BA
2W9Z6K254CA

Bolts (4):
W500301S300
