I do have the original airbag in excellent shape, tho the original leather wheel looks like someone picked at it constantly! Horrible.

And worse, the previous owner had one of those horrible covers on it.

Love your steering wheel man! I have the identical one in my VDP, but it has a scratch in the leather on the left side. I need to take it off, and have it redyed. That's on my "ToDo" list.
I didn't know if you were in Orange Co for something.

Do you know about the aforementioned coffee shops???

If not, it's Google time.

Coffee Garden Grove will probably be all you need to type. HA! They're famous! You'll see why.

Today, I finished work - sat in a chair looking at the jag deciding what to weld today, became really cold really quickly and went inside again....not the most productive evening....:-(

I looked at my XJR, then felt the cold wind & first flakes of snow so scurried into the house & turned the heating on-then I looked at it again, but this time in the warmth through the door window

I think that's known as the dictionary definition of 'lazy workshy fop'

Been there,....tried it, it IS good! Drove my Cat over the mountain today, ....just admiring the smell of the interior, and the hum of the engine at 66F (balmy!). It sounds like there is some kind of electric motor humming in there! Nothing to tell you that there is a V8 internally combusting under the hood (untill you "let The Cat have some throttle"!!). Man, it's been a long time since I was so gaga over a car (feel like a kid again!). Drove my wife's Tabby today too (took wifey for a lunch). Gotta love them cats!

Yeah, that is a great way to enjoy a cup of coffee. Don't know if your wife would enjoy it tho. LOL.

If I was you I would have done a cruise thru Palm Springs. Have you ever been to M Modern Gallery or The **** Gallery. Friends of mine own them. Great art work.

I wish I could have my Jag (or 89 BMW 635 CSi) with me when I am in Palm Springs.

I am working this morning but off this afternoon - no call from the Jag shop yet tho. Cheshire is supposed to be ready today.

Why don't you drive it to PS? I've never spent too much time in PS (alternative lifesyles are not my cup of tea!). When I'm in the artsy mood, I'm L.A. bound.

Well sat in the driver seat, pulled up the error codes from the climate control. Referenced them. Then sat there with a puzzled look on my face, wondering where do I start. Then I figured heck with it, let's go for a drive. Seems to be working fine other than the annoying beeping and ERR that pops up when you fire her up.

I live in Charleston SC. It's a bit of a drive!

I only go to PS because of mid-Century modern events but MAINLY for Tiki Caliente that is in May. You can Google it.

Also remember, I just bought the Jag. I have had the 635 for 10 years.

I know you are in SC. But imagine driving the cat cross country! That would be an awesome trip. I did a lot of coast to coast driving (once even in my 911!) with no passengers. I like being on the road alone,....a new adventure looming in every town!

Wink

on my 1998 XJ8L I Replaced my driver side door speaker, repainted bottom edge lip on the sides of the car black (it was fading),

Working on repairing the rear third break light, Need to figure out how to fix the bar being the previous owner installed the wrong lights and they melted themselves to the bar,

not to mention he broke the mounting brackets, not sure what i can do to fix it but im doing my best! but the mounting brackets are needed to support the light and they have been broken and are no where to be found
but i was able to glue and put the remaining pieces together and also paint it

Hahaha....I learnt a long time ago that paw prints are much easier to remove than claw scratches! ;o)
Normally our two catsa don't do it ....there is just this single track of prints...perhaps curiosity?
