Default What fuel injectors in a 98 X308 (XJR)?

Can someone tell me the part number or manufacturer, or both, for the fuel injectors in a supercharged 1998 X308? What's a reasonable price per unit for replacement? How easy are they to change? Any additional information?

They were great until I recently had new plugs installed, and now I get a rough idle and restricted performance alert on start-up. The mechanic said it looked like I'd have to replace one injector, and he said he'd put some injector cleaner in the tank. Is it normal for this to happen after plug replacement? After the car comes up to temp, the idle smooths out to normal...

More likely a coil/connection than injectors. I'd take off the covers/coils and look down the spark plug wells to see if oil is present. I think your tech isn't right about a faulty injector. When replacing the plug boots he may not have got all seated correctly.

Default Fuel injector replacement instructions XJ8 99 VDP

Hello Everyone,
does anyone have any detailed instruction on how to change a fuel injector? I have cylinder #7 misfiring and coil and spark plug replaced and cleaned, power to coil using NOID Light for testing, MAF cleaned, same cylinder misfired after cleaning with fuel cleaner last year and then cleared up. I bought a new Jaguar OEM injector. Having problems removing fuel rail off of all injectors with retaining clips removed so I can replace number 7.

Mathew - It seems you have "adopted" another thread with an entirely different issue. This thread was a misfire on an XJR.
The fuel rail should wiggle off of the injactors on a NA X-308, after the clips and bolts are loose. There are some o-rings in there that are a tight fit and they can get sorta stuck.
Good Luck

Default Thank you

I agree that I posted in the wrong section and will be more careful. The fuel rail seems pretty tight on all Bank 2 fuel injectors and did not know how to remove fuel hose supply or return if needed to lift the fuel rail of the 4-injectors.
