Default Grinding noise at 200 kph (125mph)

Hey experts,

I recently took the jag out to an out of town round-trip of circa 600 km (300 to; 300 fro). I hesitated to push her hard but decided to on this one occasion and went up to 200 kph (approx. 125 mph). Unfortunately I could not push her further as I heard a grinding noise. I have never heard such a noise.
As am back in the city and there is no where to replicate the scenario, I am trying to figure out what to check. Where could that noise have been coming from? It doesn't appear anywhere else at speeds lower than that!!

Nature of noise: imagine the tone of sound of a plane engine on the tarmac cut several times to match the sound levels of a car...just a shot at description!

Looking forward to your helpful comments, as usual!!

Possibly an under tray vibrating due to the increased air flow?

Looked down there but see nothing out of order round the under-belly!! Any hints on which kind of tray will most likely do this?
