There should be a plug that screws in there, sort of a torx patern recess. It is the emergancy release for the gear shift interlock, so you cannot get the lever out of Park, unless youre foot is on the brake.

It appears you are missing a star shaped dirt cover: the slot is access to allow you to move the gear shift out of park if it gets stuck. See your drivers handbook. It you don't have one (many are missing from used vehicles), it is in the stickies or available on eBay.

Thanks for the reply. I found out the name "J-GATE FASCIA PARK RELEASE SCREW ".
Nothing on Ebay in the US, only UK. Screw gonna be $10-12 with shipping. Should I get a screw from Lowes? Is it important to have that screw? Am I screwed?

It is a plastic part and I'm sure a common metal screw will likely not fit.

J-Gate Protective Plug CCC5589

The dealer will order it if it is still available.

The salvage yards are probably full of them.
