What are these? They're located in the back where the headliner meets the window. Almost directly over the headrest. Is it sensor of some sort?

Aren't they the latching points for the optional manual rear blind?

My understanding is those were on all the cars, sunblind or no. They also served as a fixing for the headlining to prevent sagging away from the backlight. The front sunvisor clips actually serve to do the same at the front.

Cheers,

Here's a tiny mystery- my 98 XJ8 has a one piece rear blind, but my 98 XJR has two separate blinds.

The JTIS calls them - headliner retaining trim in the headliner removal/install procedure:

Can someone recommend a generic sun blind/shade?
Autoshades.com have a rear sun shade which would seem to fit the bill at $55.
For once, eBay seems shy on these items.

Nothing mysterious about it.
The cars with the standard/base sound system have a 1 piece blind and the Premium equipped cars, due to the extra subwoofer on the parcel shelve, have the 2 pieces blind
