Default Where to pry intake manifold?

I’ve double checked my guides, and I’m pretty sure that I have disconnected everything, and some that I didn’t need to.

all the guides I’ve found basically say lift it or wiggle. Mine doesn’t budge.

is this a safe spot? -passenger/right side

only mention that I can find, pertaining to this model, is prying on the aluminum thermostat housing. Guess I’ll try that…

They can get a bit stuck, but if after some good wiggling and lifting it doesn't come off, I would very much double check that you've removed all the bolts.

I’ve got it to wiggle a teeny tiny bit, so I’ll keep at it.

I’ve got the 12 main ones out, injectors disconnected… I’ll keep at it. Maybe I’ll notice something that I missed.

thanks!

Under the throttle body is an aluminum elbow going to the plastic manifold. That elbow has one 8mm bolt head on each side just above the front of the transmission. Make sure those are removed. You may also have to loosen two other bolts on each side of the lower elbow bracket as it pinches that elbow into place. Other than that, it should be loose.

It was the two bolts on the pivot point under the TB.

they sure don’t make it easy to get to.

also had to loosen the ones under the two on the bracket by TB. That’s how it started to go up.

these aren’t in either guide I’m using.

thanks!

I means to say 10mm bolt head, not 8mm.
