Where is the speaker for the interor chimes?

Default Where is the speaker for the interor chimes?

Where is the speaker that control the interior chimes... turn signals, door open.... etc?

That would be under the steering column
on the right hand-side, behind the perforated
section.

Mine isn't working, and despite my being a
teenager, my back hurts too much to
get under there right now. There are a few
torx head screws holding the panel in place.

Mine worked on the last XJ, not on the XJR.
I have become acutely aware of whether
my signals are on or off.

yea, I have the same problem, it worked a few times and that was it

Any progress? I'm thinking I'll go out to the parking
lot and give it a go in a minute, see if I can just find
an unplugged connector, and an easy fix.

I hope my Torx head is the same size.

Follow the instructions in post #44. Pull the
white plastic pins carefully.

I was under there, and found nothing wrong.
speaker isn't blown, and the connectors are
all plugged in. I also checked damn near every fuse in
the car and none were blown.

I am stumped.

The sound is purported to come from the body
processor module. I believe you have to take the
glovebox out in order to look at it.
