will a 98 XJR motor be a plug n play in an 02 XJR?

Default will a 98 XJR motor be a plug n play in an 02 XJR?

I know that the 98 has nikasil liners but what if the 98 had its engine replaced or is the wiring harness completely different?

I never asked the question before, just to confirm aj26 is the 98-99 nikasil and aj27 is 00-03? Now all the aj27 are plug and play with each other, right?

The XJ8 and XJR AJ27 engines have different heads but they will swap with their own types across those years or you can use the short blocks interchangeably.
