Will instrument dimmer work with LED's?
Hello chaps...can anybody tell me if the light dimmer for the instrument pack will work with LED globe replacements?
I am at the stage where I need to replace two or three globes and am wondering if it can be replaced with LED's but I need to know if the dimmer switch will work, otherwise i will stick with the normal globes.

I am certain there would be less current draw from the LEDs but I am not certain what other benefit might be gleaned
from such a change-over. If brightness is the focus, the stock illumination works for me

Randy and Mayhem....I'm tending to think along the same lines.
The original bulbs have lasted 24 years so, Im sure new incandescent bulbs will suffice.
The local Jaycar shop supplies them T10-3W and T5-1.5W wedges so, I think I will go that route.
As you say, I don't particularly like the over brightness of the leds....as efficient as they are and draw very little current.
I need to replace my clock witht he later black and white model instead of the 'jewel hands' type in a '98.
I have been told you only need to wedge up one side of the airbag panel over the glovebox to access
the middle panel, is that correct?
