will not start
Wife called and said the battery was dead but when I got there with the cables I found out that the battery was OK and when you turned the key it would not engage the starter. She also said that earlier that day at work her fellow employees said her alarm went off, but when she went out to check, it was alright. I left it sitting until I got here to ask what it might be.All the dash lights work OK and everything else seams OK.
Thanks

Bill, check out my Electrical section, the link is in my signature. If she is still stuck somewhere, try putting the jumpers from the block to the chassis, and see what happens.
The engine ground strap can be a problem, among many other things.

I will try that today,I thought that the alarm might have tripped a fail safe no start situation. And I thought it might have been a start relay. Can I but a start jumper switch from the starter to the hot on the battery just to get her home.
Thanks

#3 post might be correct. Reset the inertia switch. Are you getting fuel pressure at the schraeder valve on the fuel rail?
WOOPS failed to read it wouldn't crank. Try the other key set.

I have had this problem with the alarm not recognizing the key. Often happens after switching between sets of keys. Try locking and unlocking the car (key in, key out, door open, door closed) several times. Also try the other key if you have 2 keys. These options have worked for me every time
Well this is what happen, got my friends car trailer and went to get the car. When I got there I thought I would cancel out the computers by removing the hot wire from the battery and touching it down on the ground post for about 5 sec. After that the car started right up and she has been driving it for the last 3 days, no problem. I want to thank everyone for there help with this matter.

Mesh - have had that problem before. Bore wash. Look for some threads and see if it matches your symptoms. The fix is relatively easy if turns out that's your issue. A teaspoon of oil in each cylinder did the trick. Let me us know if you need more assistance.
