Default Will these look okay?

I am looking at buying new wheels for my 2000 VDP

I came across these: 01 2001 02 2002 03 2003 BMW 525i 530i 540i Wheel Rim 16x7 36116751762 | eBay

But I am not sure if they will look okay or not.

What does everyone think?

Default don't quote me...

Those are nice wheels, I had them on our last e39 540i for summer use. Don't quote me on this but beemers have a staggered wheel option that provides for a wider rear wheel. IMHO they look sharper than the un-staggered package on the beemer at least. I think this pattern comes like that as well as something with more radial spokes (turbine like pattern). You might look for something like that. I think greeverrrrrrrrr has a staggered pattern shown in his latest pitchers...

From what I can tell they are all the same size.. Not sure.

What is your opinion of them? Would they be alright?

Default all the same...

The wheels in your link are not the staggered variety but I believe M5's (and probably some 540i's) came with the staggered ones. I think they're nice wheels, but the staggered look is even nicer (IMHO). I think greeverrrrrr said his wheel and tire info is in his signature so you could get an idea what width you can stuff in the wheel wells. In the end if the auction goes off at $99 that's a pretty good deal. Of course shipping these will be a consideration...

Eric, thank you for doing that! I think they'll look pretty okay on the car now that I know what it'll look like, obviously I'd never keep the BMW centre caps! I think it'll make the car a bit sportier without going overboard.

Thank you for taking the time to do that, I really appreciate that!

No problem!
Still, as per your other thread, it remains that these rims are not an exact fit for the Jaguar hubs (the difference between the Jaguar bolt pattern (5x120.65) against the BMW (5x120) being one.
I can only advise you to check some issues very carefully, so you are aware of what you are doing.

Those wheels look horrible in that photoshoped pic.

Nice bit of work there ericjansen!

More to the point though, they will not fit without machining, and if not done correctly, you will be driving a death trap!

I would ask my insurance company if I would be covered in case of an accident!

I'd just find some proper XJR rims to add a touch of sport, keep it in the family.

Search 2011-2014 XF 'Vela' wheels in Google images. They only come in 18" though. These are just my personal preference.

They wont fit though due to a different bolt pattern (5×108).

May I suggest that you look for XK wheels. As I understand you want something sportier for the VDP ( I have the European version, the Daimler). Eric has some sweet wheels on his car that I also trying to find here in Belgium. Have a look on the thread "Let's see some sexy 308 pictures" and for sure you will find some nice looking set for your car.

OP mentioned in an other post that he want to stay with 16" rims as he just got brand new tires.
I myself should use them up, in the meantime find some nice 17 or 18" OEM rims.
But I also think there are some, but limited, nice 16" rims available.
The x308 still does very well with large sidewalls.
