Due to some twonk in a Transit van taking out the offside of my XJR, I need to do some body and paintwork.

I have been donated two complete offside doors from a X300 sport, (so I have the correct satin black window surrounds ) what I would like to know is

1. can I use the any of the X300 wiring, or do I have to swap in the X308 wiring?

2. Are the control modules in the X300 doors compatible with the X308?

3. Anything else I should or should not do?

The Metal part of the door should be ok but you'll have to transfer all the 308 wiring and modules over, as well as your door card.

 

The door cards are interchangeable?? Has anyone with a strange sense of humor tried swapping the interior's of an x300 and x308?

 

stu 1986, pretty much as I suspected, but thanks for the conformation.

vdpnyc, the door cards are not interchangable the switches for the windows are different, and in different locations.
A bit of a shame that as the X300 doors are the same colour as my X308, as are the door cards and wood.

 

I've swapped several X308 interiors round, and I can get it done inside of 2 hours if it's just the seats, tunnel, rear shelf, pillars and door panels. If the dashboard is needed to come out I'd budget and extra hour on top of that.

The X308 interior is superior in design to the X300 IMO.
