Default Windshield wiper adjustment?

Hey guys. Because of the winter weather we've been having in the east, my car has seen a lot of snow and ice unfortunately.

One thing i noticed was that the resting position of the wiper is lower than it originally was at so it slaps itself down after finishing each cycle and it gets really annoying, especially when I increase the speed. Is there anyway I can adjust the wiper to stop it from slapping down?

Any help = awesome. Thanks guys.

it's one nut, undo it, reset the arm and tighten back up. Clearing the snow before turning the wiper on avoids stress on the motor and arm.

Might need a $10 wiper arm puller tool from your local auto parts store.

Yes ....they can fuse together especially if someone has removed it for some reason and over higtened the nut - since it moved I bet yours will just pop off - don't hit it with a hammer if its stuck.

And yes ..........get a scraper

although having the right tool always makes the job 10x easier, I have used a small gear puller to remove wiper arms, it works fine if you are careful

I have a small puller that is intended for pulling cables off battery terminals. It is handy for WW arms as well.

My passenger side arm is too high, it rests above the defroster elements and looks a little goofy. Can it be adjusted the other way? TIA

*oops* I searched and just noticed that I have strayed outside my S-Type world, but I assume they are all pretty similar?
