Default Wiring Route from Boot to Cabin ?

Many thanks for the knowledge on this forum. Using the info found here this newbie was able to bypass the SLCM and get my brake lights working via wiring to the HMSL. However, I need to find a way to get a wire from the boot past the bulkhead so that it can connect to the HMSL (without running a wire out the window). I don't want to start drilling without direction - Suggestions ?

Someone might respond if you tell us what car you are needing info about. (MAKE, MODEL, YEAR).

There is a relay in the rear fuse relay panel on some models.

if you remove the back seat you'll see two wiring looms and channels that go up the seat back, by the c pillars, and up to the parcel shelf, and then I think through a grommet into the boot.

Back seat removal isn't necessary if you can find the grommet, but it's not hard, and will make it all very obvious

Given the similarity of the models, post #7 may be of some use to you:

Great tips and thanks to all. Funny thing - re-wiring from the HMSL was the EASY part !
