Hey X308 owners!
The lights located in the boot of the car that illuminate the cargo area are a bit wonkey on my jag. As you open the trunk they are off until the trunk gets higher then they turn on, thats fine. But then the trunk settles out at the top, fully opened and the lights turn off. If you just move the trunk lid down a bit they turn back on. Its like at its highest point there is a dead spot and they turn off. Its annoying when loading things at night because the cargo area is not lit. Its an odd error , anyone familular with it?

 

Check the wiring that runs down the right hand hinge, it is common for 1 or more wires to break and cause intermittent faults.


The wiring is inside the grey plastic trim on the hinge.
