wrecked jaguar wont go into neutral!!!
Not knowing the the cars operating ability.
1.requires the ignition key
2. battery charged to activate the relay
Insert key and turn to 2nd position ignition on, press brake pedal to release the shifter lever (should hear clicking sound by shifter) then move shifter to the neutral position.
Hope this helps. Good luck.

Plan B:
Remove plastic star-looking screw on above and to the Left of the shifter.
Push straight item through hole to release shifter lock piece (I use a phillips screwdriver) and move gearshift into neutral.
That is a little over-simplified, but it will work.

The plastic 'STAR' can be removed with a T30 Torx driver bit. You can use the ignition key in the hole to unlatch the PARK lock and move the gear selector lever.
Once the selector is in NEUTRAL you put the key back in the ignition.
