The X308 Paradox,
That was a steal provided the car was in good shape without serious mechanical problems. I was recently looking at a '96 Vanden Plas with 170k miles with an asking price of $1,800. I offered a thousand because the paintwork was a mess and he refused. The clearcoat faded as it was a California car and some idiot took a rattle can to it. Knowing how expensive resprays are is the reason why I offered that. Had the paint been normal my offer would have been much higher. So knowing this how is $1,200 a reasonable price for a supercharged car in great condition. It isn't. If CarMax didn't want the car they would not have made any offer. They made one that was guaranteed to make them money. You could list that car on ebay and absolute worst case scenario you'd get $3,500 for it.
