Default Xj8,240d, and xj40

Ive been offerd a trade on this mercedes 240d for a 92' xj40 this car runs up until 30 but its loud like fighter jet loud its yellow black with a green interior(cloth) and lots of rust I find parts of this car on my drive way there is one that is through the floor and another through the door, on the other hand there is the 92' xj it has 122,000 miles compared to the 138 of the mercedes, it is white with a cream interior and the sunroof has been broken letting some water get in and yes there is a nasty mold spot on the carpets but no major rust even though like the mercedes coming from Illinois.
Both cars have dents though the jaguars is much less severe. As the jag sits the fuel tank is out due to leak but car did start up and sounds good for a inline 6. It also has paralli tires but the thing that is holding me back is my other jaguar which has recently decided to leak oil and gush transmission fluid and although I still love jags it has put a bad taste in my mouth but at the same time since a few things were carried over from the begaining of the body style to the end i think my experience with a jag would assist me compared with a diesel mercedes from the 80s in which all 3 of those are a first for me
other things to consider
Owner of xj40 wants 350 in addition to the old mercedes but that includes him moving the car 44 miles to my house and picking up the mercedes
i bought the 240d for 500$ and made it years better for only about 40 including black spray paint since the old black wrap was too far gone to be saved but also stuck on

My two sedans

So which car would you prefer the xj40 or the 240d

Xj40

Default 240d

This is also the first bite ive received after attempting to sell this car since mid April
mostly due to the quirks that even Doug demouro would think were overbord including but not limited to
being used by German police in the 80s
Still having most of the original paper work
The car is yellow and green
Its vin is actually WDB12312312321993

While the xj40 isn't the most reliable version of the XJ6, I've read that once sorted they are very good cars. The Merc seems like it would take more work to make it into a "nice car" and since delivery and pickup are included in the cash he's asking for, it seems reasonable.
I vote for the xj40

Well in true car enthusiast fashion ive decided to keep the merc and outright buy the jaguar I'm checking my finances but when your buying cheap cars you always have cash for more
