Default XJ8 Help

Looking for advice on replacing the Denso Marston MNC 4205AF 9019 radiator on my 1999 XJ8. What should I expect to pay a dealer and or if replacing myself, I need to know how to replace transmission fluid that will be lost and how to know when the fluid is at the correct level.

Regards,

Ray Robinson

Default XJ8 Trunk lights not working

1999 XJ8
Cant find the reason for the trunk lights not working. The bulbs are good.

I did not find a single fuse for these lights. All other lights work so I asume the fuse is not bad. Any advice would be apreciated.

Regards,

Ray Robinson

RE TRANSMISSION: Hello if you search the post "Questions for 03 XJ8 transmission fluid and filter replacement" by chernobee, that will give you a picture of the transmission and some advice. The second posting will have a link to another thread with that particular section of the service manual that is downloadable in pdf. You will need metric allen wrenches, jack stands and a beer bong <big tube connected to a funnel> to fill it. The jaguar fluid is pricey, many full synthetics for the zf transmission will work. Ill be using pentisol this time. Good luck
