XJ8 - Keys locked in car
Hello!
Day 1 of LPG conversion not going well - keys in the ignition, locked in the car.
Spare keys are a 12 hour / 100 quid round trip away.
Dealers are only open on Wednesday as it is public holiday here in UK.
Know anywhere I can mail order a key by VIN in the UK?
Locksmith in South Wales that can cut one by VIN?
Ways to break into these cleanly?
Bonnet is open - any way to pop locks from under bonnet?
It doesn't need to be a transponder key etc - just gain access to the cabin.
Thanks!

It's not possible to cut a key by the VIN. Dealer can give you a code to cut the key with if you provide the VIN and proof of ownership. I've done this when my keys were in the trunk. And they didn't give the code over the phone, had to go there in person. Any locksmith that can cut a Ford key should be able to cut a X308 Jag key too. It won't have the chip in it to bypass immobilzer system (to start the car), but it'll open the door. New key from the dealer with the chip would've taken days and cost would've been in three figures. In your case it'll take days anyway if the dealer is not open...
There is a way break in cleanly if you have proper tools. Towing service guy broke into mine with ease. Too bad it didn't help to open the trunk where my keys were along with the groceries.
