Default XJ8 with a swap....

I have a 2003 XJ8 with a blown head gasket, I also by chance have a 2006 s-type R supercharged engine that I have no use for... What would it take to put that engine in the XJ8? Is there by chance a wright up on it somewhere?

Remove the thermostat but keep the rubber seal there to not leak use sodium silicate sealer bars leak working fine it May fix the issue
Use it with clean coolant

Hmmm...so a blown head gasket can be fixed with bars leak?
I guess it would depend on where it is blown and how badly.

Yup definitely but it's worth to try sodium silicate sealed blown Head gasket for 3 years then after that it was time to change the gasket

Yes, I have read where the "liquid glass" was able to help seal such leaks. I have also read that in most
cases it may last for about 6 months. You are right, of course...it is worth the try.

None of these responses answered my question, Im not asking what to do about the headgasket, I asking what do I need to do to install the other engine.

That s type has aj34 I believe as any engine swap the mechanical work easily solved but the electrical work and wire probably you will need someone with enough knowledge and do clean work the engine mounts probably the same the transmission will fit there too but to start it and run it without issue that's the key . Take a look on the LS swap and connect with him probably will help you with your project . However give it a try the liquid glass I hate see these engines dies

The 2 platforms are not compatible, CanBus / modules and wiring are completely different. No one has done this because it's just not possible.

Even if you got the supercharged engine in, the amount of electrical wiring and routing of coolant hoses is a big task. Getting a S/C ECM to communicate (and work together) with a N/A TCM I imagine would throw it into an immediate restricted performance mode. Your only other option would be to get a standalone ECM/TCM so you can program it. ABS would likely never function and at the end of the day, guess what? The N/A transmission cannot handle the amount of power that a S/C engine will dish out.
