Question XJR 2002 ticking noise help

Please help me diagnoise this sound(link below)
2002 XJR 200,000 miles.
I bought the car <5k miles ago with the throttle only opening 40%, it was a smooth and uneventful test drive
Once the throttle was fixed I loved this car so much i bought a 2003 XJR with a seized motor, for parts $800.
The current noise started out as a a ticking around 3Krpm? but has got much worse recently, not going to drive it like this.
the noise is the same with the belt off of the supercharger.
just completed compression check with TB open
front. then added oil to each cylinder.
125/106 167/156
129/112 166/140
111/111 142/146
124/98 154/136

Im thinking of removing the valve covers next, to check cams and timing chain?
perhaps the timing chain is loose?
with the compression they way it is, should i be rebuilding the motor.

thanks for any help here!

You can pop of the cam covers but based on those compression readings that engine is done.

Before just scrapping the engine, I would pull off the supercharger and intake manifold and give things a good look see. Based on the compression readings and the noise your hearing I think you have dropped a few valve seats. This is normally the consequent of overheating but it isn't unheard of a failure under normal conditions.
You can get a good head refurbish/ new head gaskets and just might be in better than new shape.

YUP!
I wouldn't wast your time doing anything else to that engine unless you plan a full rebuild.
