My wifes '02 XJR is doing the same thing intermittantly. Engine codes are p1111 and p1646.
p1111 is normal from what I can find out and will not cause the check engine light to come on. Basically means the ECM has completed its checks.
p1646 is the Fuel Pump relay two failure. Wiring problem or ECM grounded for that circuit.
I swapped relays around and could not get the problem to move like I think it would.
I just replaced both fuel pump relays since they were only 10 bucks each.
If anybody else has any ideas please help.
