XJR on autogas lpg
I had several high output Mercedes converted to lpg with very good results for long time.
Now I have found a sound XJR 2001 and I am looking for a conversion possibility. In some threads there is signed a problem withe the fuel pump pressure controll or is this for the 4.2?
Only evaporator cabale for 360 Hp sould be Prins or in alternativ LPi from Viale o Icom but I am not shure if they have pased exhaust gas test om this modell in Germany. Any advice?

Hi
I am interested also to put LPG on my JAG, most of the time i drive in the City and the price of the gas is hi so LPG is a good investment. I drive a few cars with big engine converted on LPG and i like it. You mus check this site GOLPG.CO.UK you will find useful information.
Most of the people who install LPG system recommended in this order PRINS, BRC and other like Zenith. Zenith use for big engine two evaporators, this i don`t like.
If you have more information please share us.
Best regards
Gabriel

Hello,
I have LPG in my XJR, its a BRC System. It has only one varporizer, which seems to less. When I give full throttle you can feel theres not enough power, and after a few seconds the LPG switches it self off because of to low gas pressure.
I had other experiences with LPG cars, I'm not so happy with the performance. Nevertheless, I would do it again, but next time with 2 varporizers.

Brc vaporizer is to low output, I am shure that pressure drops fro 1.4 bar
Tp 0.9 on Kick-Down and T inj goes from 16ms up to 20ms.....fit a second or a Prins or e@gas vaporizer tu your sistem. Temperatur of vaporizer is good? Sometimes they aren't met correct in the hot water ways....
You have flashlube or it goes fine without (how many km).

Hmm, I can not do that by my self. The LPG system was installed by a "professional" garage. I told them that the system seems not to be working 100%, then they changed a little bit software parameters and told me its fine. Was there 3 times, and they said I should switch to gas when I accelerate hard
Yepp, those people will make no more business with me.
I don't use flash lube or any else additives, I did it never also with my last car, and had no troubles. With my last car I drove 70.000km with LPG (Honda Prelude 1992, LPG was built in when it had 140.000 km), with the Jag I drove 15.000 km until now (LPG was built in when it had 100.000 km).
Best regards, Ulli
