Default XJR fog líght r&r

This shouldn't be this hard....so I have two broken fog lights on my 2000 XJR. Found a pair of used ones on eBay. I went to install them....started with the right side took off the gravel shield, and there is this big gray box blocking the light. What is it and how does it come off. There must be another way to do this?

It isn't hard, two bolts and you're in....locate them under the front bumper either side of the grill, remove these and free the clips from the lower inner wings from the undertray and slide the bumper towards you.

You'll then need to unclip the fog/indicator looms.

One tip is to use an old duvet for the bumper to rest on once on the ground....

Picture show's the bumper mounts and two bolt locations, I think 17mm. The original fog bracket bolts maybe rusted so flood them with a penetrator oil first...

Thanks Sean.....doesn't look too bad. Are the bumper bolts accessable from above or below? I still need to remove the gravel shield, correct? How is it connected to the wings? Thanks much for your help. Brent

Default thanks again

Thanks again Sean for your help. Took off the bumper and replaced the fog lights. Couldn't have gone any easier. Took me about half an hour. Love this forum. Thanks!
