I just bought this amazing '01 XJR, but already had the headlight go out. The lights also stay on regardless of the position of the headlight switch in the car. Anyone have a quick link on how to get this fixed? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

Most likely need a new bulb on the lamp that failed. But check relays and fuses, as well. As for the lack of response to switch changes, maybe a broken wire(s) in the multiswitch.

Check the Driver's door VIN sticker and see if there is also a MAPLE LEAF.

Canadian cars have DRL and I don't think it is a configuration option but an actual 'hard-wired' requirement in the X308.
