Default XJR sunroof

I have a lovely XJR only thing is I can't get the sun roof to open and shut properly. When I push the button to open it it opens right back (past the normal open position). The consequence is drumming from the air passing the roof. When I try to close the sunroof the motor takes it past the closed position, raises the rear if the roof then closes down and opens to the far rearward position.
The motor operates OK and the wiring appears to be sound.
Does anyone know about the problem and even better have a solution?

There is a calibration procedure described in a TSB in the form of a .pdf posted by motorcarman one of the sunroof threads. The search function should bring the threads up.

Default Update

After reading the TSB's on the link that Scott posted I found that the sunroof gears just weren't engaged. That little quarter turn after manually opening the roof solved the problem. Good to be able to open it and enjoy. Thanks again.
