Default XJR Supercharger Idler Pulley

Hi everyone, I recently replaced all the timing components in my 2001 Jaguar XJR, when I had all the belts off I did a quick spin test to see if any of the pulley were going out, and they all seemed smooth, quiet and stopped spinning sorta quickly, except for one which was the idler pulley for the supercharger serpentine belt, so I kept going with my project then and figured I’d order a new pulley once I’m done. Of course I pushed it off lol, now my belts will squeal every once in a while so I went online to rock auto and found some pulley but I didn’t know which idler pulley it was so I looked and i don’t believe it’s the right one and I can find a new pulley but it’s oem Jaguar and like $150 which is tough for me to spend because the ones on rock auto are only like $4-$30 so I was wondering if anyone has found these pulleys for cheaper but still good quality somewhere else?

thanks!

So you say its just the fixed idler pulley, then you can just replace the bearing, its real easy. It punches out/in with a socket.
I'm pretty sure this is the one I replaced mine with, but that was 6 yrs ago.

Bearing is readily available. Just be sure socket you press it out with is not slightly too large. Ask me how I know. :-O

Uh oh, you didn’t break the pulley did you?

I ended up purchasing a bearing from Amazon for pretty cheap. I’ve never done something like this before but I found it to be very easy to complete.

The only issue is that it didn’t fix my belt chirp 👎

Either the socket I used was slightly too large or did not go in straight. The round became slightly oval and new bearing sat too loose. I wound up getting a new replacement in ebay from Romania or somewhere as they were NLA.
