My 93 has passed 215K and I hear quiet that a motor is on the horizon. Considering a complete rebuild, I realize it will be off the road for the process and my wallet will be lighter as a result. Soooo, I started thinking about alternatives to a stock rebuild. I really luv the 6cyl motor which brought me to the early XJR motor perhaps as a choice. Am I crazy?

 

I think you came to the wrong group. this is a X308 with V8 AJ26/AJ27 either NA or SC.

I assumed you meant to say about the v6 from X300

 

You're right about the X300 being the right forum but the XJR version came with a 375hp supercharged straight 6, not a V-6, that's likely the engine being contemplated.
