So my 99 XJ8L was having issues shifting into 4th, and banging into some of the other gears. Dropped the transmission out yesterday and tore it apart today. Found the A drum blown of course, but surprised to find the hub blown off the back of the B clutch drum. It has some scoring on the back bumps which is normal but some real bad juju happened for that to pop off. Was expecting to find a bad axle needle bearing but it looks ok. Gonna replace it anyways. Anyone ever see this?
