1994 Jaguar XJ-Type 220 for Sale in Springfield, IL 62701 - Global Autosports
Need I say anything else? WOW this is a beauty. Hard to believe the car is almost brand new. Little pricey but never seen another like this one.

That truly is a Beast, Classy, Curvacious, Beautiful, well spotted!
I was taken away to a land of dreams there, Good Luck to the buyer!!!
The only issue is you have to drive a car like that, I would find it hard to just pamper her and keep her garaged, Beauty like that has to be on display, I think!
One day who knows, FType Matte, I'll just have to keep on dreaming for now!!
Regards, Stu

She's a cracker! Too pricey for me though. Only ~50 miles a year.
"Very rare and unique 1994 Jaguar XJ220. Truly a collector's item. One of only 275 made and with less than 1000 miles!"

One of my dream cars. I remember playing XJ220 on my Sega-CD video game console back in the early 90's.
Just an awesome car.

I have the fortune of having an XJ220 at my disposal so I've been able to spend some time behind the wheel. To be honest I'd much rather have the Corvette or Porsche mentioned in your sig line

Here's a pic of the car at a Jag Concours in Tacoma a couple weeks ago.
Cheers

Some of the history of this beautiful but flawed model may be of interest.
When production of the XJ220 was announced in 1989, it was priced at an estimated £361,000 (index-linked) with customers required to place a £50,000 deposit. For UK buyers, this meant paying a deposit £57,500 with VAT at 15%. Here is the original Order Form:

And the Terms & Conditions:

Despite this, there was no shortage of buyers and initial production places were quickly snapped up. Many frustrated would-be buyers were even reported to be paying speculators up to £75K for their accepted order slot.
By the time the XJ220 was eventually launched at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1991, the original V12 specified had been replaced by the 3.5 litre twin turbocharged V6 from the XJR-11 and the cost had risen to £403,000.
Add to the major price increase the economic down turn and many buyers were either unwilling or unable to complete the purchase. The press reported several forfeiting their deposit to walk away from the deal.

I don't know how current this ad is, but it shows an XJ220 for sale that is unregistered and has 36 miles on the odometer.

The XJ220 in burgundy / maroon would be my dream car.
This is a great 1-hour video biography about the development of the XJ220. I really enjoyed watching it.
