Default Extremely damaged Jaguar XJ220 selling for $200,000

Hope they can fix it.

From the article:
With just 281 units ever made, the rare mid-engined supercar built by Jaguar in the early 90s comes powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, and its 542 horsepower is capable of propelling the svelte feline to a top speed of 217 mph. That made it the fastest car on the road (for a couple of years at least). But with models in near-new condition fetching around $200,000 in auction, we have no idea why this badly damaged example is being priced so high.

It's listed at 199,980 Euro, not USD.

The seller (hartvoorsautos.nl) appears to be basing the asking price on the original advertised cost of the XJ220 ............

I would say a max of $20K since what you've got is a parts car. I didn't an undamaged body part. I suspect there's been some frame damage since it looks like the car was rolled.

Wow! Those that like to look down their nose at the X type should check out the Ford Sierra dashboard in this 220.

I'd say it's worth $50k just because all the parts are there. Destroyed, but there (well, maybe in a nearby bin)! It is after all a very rare exotic supercar!

Can't be 100% sure from pictures but the engine, transmission, interior, wheels, and many other big-ticket items appear to be ok.

Perfect car for a re-shell, and Don Law has a couple of bare shells ready.

But still, should be more like $100k, probably even less actually...
