I looked at the receipts for the service my Mom had done on her 1991 XJ40. Yes this was over 20 years BUT, does it really cost $11802.92 to keep a Jaguar running or was this "Let's rip Granny off"? It's a nice car, but it's not that nice of a car!

 

You realize that works out to less than $50/month over that 20 years.

 

Or $590/year. I think granny did pretty well, I don't suppose she was under the car saving money on oil changes etc.

 

I think Granny did well, too. High-end luxury cars are not known to be inexpensive to own. $590/year sounds great, IMHO.
