1993 inner door workings
So I have a 1993 XJ40, since I have had it the outside driver's door handle has not worked. You can open from inside but not outside. I have had the driver's interior door trim off multiple times and have become pretty familiar with the looks of that. My question is, I have a plastic white piece that is a lever type piece(has two holes, almost looks like dog bone shape) with two rods suppose to hook to the inner door handle arm and inner lock cylinder arm that somehow is broke in half from its other half. That white platic piece is broken, snapped off. So while its not the arm atop the inner handle itself, as most have problem with...it is a white plastic piece that I have no idea how to fix.
With the inner door interior removed, the piece I am mentioning is white in color and closest to the inside of door body just below inner door handle on driver side.
Let me know if any ideas. Email celtic822@yahoo.com for pics. i cant post attachments yet lol. Thanks, CG

Yeah just a quick update. Its not the handle that is broke. I ordered a brand new handle a few months back. It was only when goingto install the new handle that we noticed we had a white plastic piece which sits just below the inner handle that is broke. It has a rod which screws into it. Email for pics if you think you may have any good info regarding this.

We are not ignoring you, its just that, that type of plastic piece in a stressed working environment is not going to take a glue repair. It'll last 5mins.
I know what you are on about, and if I have time tomorrow I'll look in my spares hoard and see if I have an unbroken one to show, or if you are really lucky, stick in an envelope and mail it to you.
Failing that, the breakers yard is your best bet.
Flash up a pic of your broken piece.
