Is a 1993 XJ40 with a black interior AND exterior rare?

Hi Don, what do these McMaster-Carr stainless-steel/neoprene sealing washers look like? Sounds like I could use a few of these too!

Hi Larry,

See the illustration at the McMaster-Carr link I posted earlier, or better yet, PM me your address and I'll just send you some washers. Just let me know how many you need. In the process of determining how many jaguarguy13 needed we discovered his car is a '94 and not a '93. His car has the oil filler cap in the cam cover and it looks like the cam cover is secured by 13 screws, so I'm going to send him 15 washers just in case. Is your '94 the same?

I think our '93 only has 7 screws on the cam cover. Jaguar must have added more screws in '94 due to all the oil leaks owners had been experiencing.

Cheers,

Don

Hi Don, Yes my '94 has the oil filler on the cam cover ...I'll be down at the car today replacing the shocks - I'll count the screws and report back later on - come to think of it, the PO must have had troubles with the screws (or screwdriver!!) as the Philips heads are chewed up - ideally, I'd like to replace the screws too!

Thanks for the offer, definitely save some for me - I'll pm you the address later today when I've done the count (and the new shocks are on)
