1994 Jaguar XJ6 tuning/turbo?
So I had this crazy idea of installing a rear mounted turbo in my Jaguar. Has anyone had any experience witht this? Would it be a plausible thing to try, or supercharge instead? Also, any suggestions on other tune ups to do for increased performance?
Hi jaguarguy13,
I don't know about turbocharging, but check out AJ6 Engineering for ideas, including supercharging:

Also, since your car is a '94 and has the higher-output alternator and revised crankshaft pulley, your engine can use Andy Stoddart's timing advance bracket:

I put Andy Stoddart's timing advance bracket on our '93. The engine is definitely more responsive, especially at mid- to high-revs, and fuel economy improved significantly. See the results I posted in the thread I linked to earlier.
I have no experience with any of the AJ6 Engineering enhancements, but I've read their entire website more than once.
There are turbo's available for the aj6, even a set for sale on ebay at the moment:

I have the cranksensor bracket as well, defenitely has benefits but not that remarkeble. throttle response has increased, and fires up quicker.
Fitting the turbo is probably not the most difficult, adjusting the engine management seems more difficult to me.
