You should post in the "XJ40" section for this type of question.
Anyhow...as long as we're here....
The VDP has higher grade leather, picnic tables for the rear seat passemgers, and other interior upgrades....possibly different wheels and bit of exterior trim as well. Someone in the XJ40 section will know the specifics.
Assuming the car hasn't been monkeyed with it'll also have a badge on the rear saying "Vanden Plas" :-).
