Default 400$ vdp

I found a one owner 93 vdp with 120k miles and a clean title unfortunately it doesn’t run which is either bad gas or a result of a rodent making a snack out of some wires and right now it only starts. Other than that the only other issues are the a.c, no radio code, and a saggy headliner. It also has a CD player so I guess I can play Buck Rogers if I buy this car. What do you guys think is it a good car or not. Forgot to mention but the car does crank it just doesn’t want to start kinda like my Porsche which died right in front of my x308

For several hundred dollars it is not even a question whether or not it's worth it. Another recent member here purchased a 1993 or '94 XJ6 that also just cranked. Turned out to be a bad distributor cap.

Default Question about towing

I have a tow dolly that I’ve owned since I bought my project 928 how would one tow the xj40 30 miles. Would it be better to tow in reverse or forward and as a side note I have no clue how to disconnect the driveshaft and while it wasn’t recommended I did tow the 928 forwards without ruining anything and if I was without another option I would do it again. Thanks

Tow it from the rear, the front wheels can free wheel. Just be sure that they're locked in the straight ahead position.Or tow it from the front and use a separate tow dolly under the rear axle. Or call for a car carrier flatbed. But now, the money spending begins! Good Luck!
