Default 90 Xj6 Sov.

so ive had a problem with my Xj6 back brakes not braking. me and Tgunner have identical problems. For more info the problem you can check out his thread. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ke-help-54134/
so comming to a conclusion i believe that it is the Pressure Accumulator

(not power booster car does not have one)

1989 Jaguar XJ6 Pressure Accumulator JLM 011659

now my question is does any one know how to remove the present accumulator, or inspect it to see if its the problem. it does say on it not to remove cause its under pressure. any tips or advice would be helpful.

*PS if any one had a similar problem and found the cause, i would greatly appreciate finding out before i start spending big bucks on items that may not be the cause.

Thanks in advance.

Here is a post where I had given a little information about testing the accumulators. It might be of some help.

Well, it sounds like you have a completely dead brake assist system. Does the electric pump below the master cylinder run when the ignition is on?? If it does not, then you should start with the basics, power and grounds. I'd check the two 30A in-line fuses at the front of the driver footwell to start. Beyond that, power and ground; find out what's missing. Here is a link to the electrical guide for your 1990 sedan.

Good luck!
