Default '92 Sov - Dealer Installed Alarm - Fob Programming

Hi, I purchased a a Jaguar G57JTX318 remote. I'm trying to get the dealer installed "Jaguar Security System" alarm into learning mode. I've made sure the valet switch is ON under the steering column, and I've disconnected and reconnected the positive terminal on the battery.

I'm not getting any confirmation from the alarm module. No beeping, chirping, blinking from the security LED on the top of the steering column. Nothing...

The security module is still there and in place, behind the dash and to the left of the steering column. All the wires are connected at the brain. The siren is under the hood, no problem there.

What kind of confirmation am I looking for once I reconnect the battery?

Thanks,
Nick

Nick, check out this thread from the How To.

Reprograming the Alarm.

They can be 'fun'.

Thanks, those are the instructions I've followed.

I have a feeling there's a power, ground or fuse issue somewhere, there's absolutely no response from the system at all. Maybe someone cut a wire in haste due to an annoying false alarm?

Thanks,
Nick
