94 XJ12 (XJ81) Alternator went out
I was driving today and all of a sudden, my volt meter started reading super high as I would increase speed, then the light would flash on and off before it finally lost voltage. I thought i'd lost connection to the battery but it was still connected (although a little loose). In any case, I think my alternator or voltage regulator is fried.
The usual parts sources do not seem to show it in stock and I have no idea how much of a pain in the rear it is to remove, but it looks like it's buried down in the engine bay. I checked fuse #1 in the center console panel and it's intact so I guess it's the alternator. Is there anything else I need to check and are there any how to guides for the V12 XJ?
Thanks
